Beachy Vibes
Cottage abode in the town of Gimli.
The client for this project lives on the West Coast and was building a cottage in the town of Gimli Manitoba. When he first contacted us, he had only one exterior shot as an idea for inspiration for the whole project. We used that image as a jumping off point for the interior concept.
The goal was a beachy cottage vibe. We used a mix of woods, whites and warm tranquil greys and added layers of ship lap and textural stone and tile to add warmth. The beams on the ceiling give it a little touch of rustic. All meetings were carried out via Zoom and telephone. We never met the client until the final walk through and got to experience their excitement and true joy for their new space.

Paula is a terrific technical designer and draftsperson, and the design plans she formulated reflected our wishes, allowing our team to complete the design, construction, furniture, and decorating. We are delighted with our new cottage.
